Family reunion t shirts are worn by family members at family reunions to show identity, belongingness, togetherness, harmony and unity. Corporations, politicians, churches, sports teams and other establishments utilize t shirts for the same reasons.
One of the things that so warms my heart at my family reunions is seeing all of my family members all dressed in our colorful reunion t-shirts. Each year we wear a different color and that particular color is our reunion color for that year. A very special and meaningful highlight of our reunion is when we all gather for our group photo at all wearing the same t shirt.
So what information or design should go on reunion t shirts? Well, that’s strictly up to you. However, keep in mind that it’s your family reunion. Therefore, it could be any of the following or a combination thereof: your reunion theme or slogan, your reunion logo, your family surname, reunion date, reunion location, a family quote, a photo, etc.
My personal suggestion is to either design or have someone else design a logo for the family reunion itself which has several of the aforementioned items incorporated into the logo design and then used that logo for the entire reunion including the reunion t shirts. Then when you’re ready to order your t shirts, you’ll already be one step ahead. One thing I’d like to interject here is that your logo or design doesn’t have to be or consist of clipart or pictures of a tree or trees with names. Be creative and think outside the box! For one of our reunions, I designed a logo in which I incorporated a photo of a linked chain as oppose to the traditional tree design. Our theme that year was: “Linked Together by Blood and Love”…Get the idea…I knew you would.
When you’re ready to order your family reunion tees, you can use a local company or an online company that specializes in t shirts printing. Also, be sure to get a good quality t shirt fabric and not one that shrinks and draws up after the first wash. Remember your family reunion t shirts are reunion keepsakes as well.
